Diagnostic review
Understand the problem first.
A short, focused piece of work to understand a specific problem, its causes and what a practical fix would involve. You receive a clear written summary and a proposed approach.

From one stubborn spreadsheet to a reporting process that crosses several departments, the aim is the same: understand the problem properly, then build something reliable, usable and maintainable. Based in Loughton, Essex, working with organisations across Essex, London and the UK.
When routine work depends on copying, pasting, chasing files and hoping a macro still runs, there is almost always a better way.
At Eurostar, monthly certification of £91m of cross-border stock went from up to two days of manual work to two clicks and about three minutes.
A polished chart built on unreliable data is another problem, not a solution. The work starts with the source data and the rules that shape it.
At Eurostar, reconciling new reporting against legacy outputs exposed decade-old data feeds, mismatched decimal formats and exchange-rate errors, with historical calculation defects confirmed by the original developer.
Good reporting answers the questions people need to act on, refreshes without manual effort and is clear about where every figure comes from.
At GSK, a rolling 24-month capacity forecast covering around 300 clinical studies informed monthly decisions on moving work between sites or to contract packagers.
Inventory problems are rarely only about inventory. They usually trace back to forecasting, process design and the data feeding both.
At GSK, a forecasting model covering about 2,000 packaging components cut red-status lines from 173 to single figures within six months.
Sometimes the technology is not the root cause. Processes, handovers, responsibilities and definitions all decide whether a system is useful.
For Rentokil Initial, mapped supply chain processes in Spain, Portugal, Poland and Germany against a group-wide Business Central design, documenting the local exceptions the rollout had to handle.
For small businesses in Loughton, Epping Forest and across Essex and London that need a clear, dependable website: one that explains what you do, loads quickly and turns visitors into enquiries.
This website, and an independent publishing platform with memberships and payments, were designed and built in-house.
Ways to work together
Scope, timescales and fees are agreed in writing before any work begins, so you know exactly what you will receive.

No. Start with the problem: what is slow, unreliable or frustrating, and what it costs you. Choosing the right tool is part of the work, and often the answer is something you already have.
I will reply to arrange a free 30-minute conversation about the problem. If it is a good fit, you receive a written proposal setting out the scope, timescales, deliverables and fee. Nothing starts until you have agreed it.
The first conversation is free. After that, every piece of work is quoted individually: diagnostic reviews and defined projects at a fixed fee, contract and interim support at a day rate. You will always know the cost before any work begins.
That is exactly what the work is designed to avoid. Solutions are built in tools you already use wherever possible, documented clearly, and handed over with training so your team can run and change them without me.
Usually, yes. Most work uses Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate and SharePoint, which many organisations already have through Microsoft 365. I also have hands-on experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics AX and Business Central, and forecasting systems such as RELEX. If something else would serve you better, I will explain why.
Access is agreed at the start of each piece of work, and only the data the work needs is used. Wherever possible, work is carried out within your own systems and security policies, and I am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Please do not include confidential customer or employee information in an initial enquiry.
I am based in Loughton, Essex and work with organisations across Essex, London and the UK, remotely or on site by arrangement.
The work suits small businesses and larger organisations alike. The problems are often the same; what changes is the scale, the number of people involved and the systems around them.
A short outline of what is going wrong is enough to start a free, no-obligation conversation.
